Learn about new materials and modules to pivot Tiny Earth to hybrid and online formats!
MONDAYS Aug 3 or 10: Tiny Earth Pivot Workshops, 10am-2pm CDT
TUESDAYS thru FRIDAYS: Aug 4-7 and Aug 11-14: Tiny Earth Office Hours (times TBA)
Pivot Workshops will provide Tiny Earth instructors with opportunities to:
- Learn about the new online Tiny Earth modules
- Decide which modules to integrate into your syllabus
- Plan activities and assessments to meet your course learning objectives
- Consider “Plan A” and “Plan B” based on your institution’s rules and your preferences
- Work with a buddy for planning now and during implementation this fall
Office Hours will be informal opportunities to ask questions and figure out what will work best for you and your students. These will be hosted by Tiny Earth leadership and committee members who are your Tiny Earth instructor colleagues.
You must register to access the workshops, office hours, and course modules. Materials will be hosted in a Canvas course site. Synchronous sessions will be held via zoom and accessed from the Canvas course. The webinar portions of the August 3 and 10 workshops will be recorded and shared in the Canvas course for viewing later. The Aug 10 workshops will be a repeat of the Aug 3 workshops. We will host a similar series prior to winter/spring 2021 term, plus webinars on additional content throughout fall term.
Registration will trigger the following series of authorizations so you can attend the events in Canvas:
