MORE ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP SESSION:
Participants will learn to use this genome mining tool to identify and characterize biosynthetic gene clusters. In this interactive session, TEPIs will learn to use the antiSMASH analysis suite and get hands-on experience analyzing pathways and making interpretations — approaches that can be applied to their Tiny Earth teaching or research. The session will include a combination of webinar-style presentation and some structured work/discussion time using chat feature, screen share, participant audio, breakout rooms, etc. No software required; antiSMASH is free and accessible within a web browser. No prior antiSMASH experience necessary, some familiarity with introductory level bioinformatics (e.g. navigating NCBI and BLAST) recommended.
Clicking "Join Session" above will launch the zoom meeting on your device. You may be placed in a waiting room until you are admitted by the host.
