The Tiny Earth Summer Symposium is designed to showcase student research, support instructor professional development, and engage the network in antibiotic discovery. This in-person conference will be hosted at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Instructors will arrive on June 13th to learn, discuss, and workshop Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) strategies and engagement. Students will join instructors on June 14th to present their research and hear from experts in the field: Cesar de la Fuente (PhD, UPenn), David Andes (MD, UW-Madison), and Tiny Earth Founder Jo Handelsman (PhD, UW-Madison).
Registration & Logistics
Parking:
Hourly visitor parking is available on campus at various lots (rates). Engineering Drive Ramp (Lot 17), Union South Ramp (Lot 80), and University Ave Ramp (Lot 20) are near the event site. For more information on visitor parking and lot availability visit the UW Transportation website.
NOTE: Vehicles may not park in a parking facility for more than 72 hours (three days) at a time without prior authorization from UW Transportation Services.
There is also typically free or metered street parking near local residences, but availability and time limits are up to chance and requires some exploring.
