Harry Feinstone Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The major focus of his work has been Cryptococcus neoformans. He made numerous contributions including uncovering strategies of latency, treatment resistance and dissemination by the intracellular pathogen. He described the capsule organization and microstructure of melanin, and showed how anti-fungal antibodies mediate immunity against intracellular infection.
