Posoh! (Hello, Menominee). My name is David John Kitson Jr. I am 29 years old and a proud enrolled member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of WI. I am a student at the College of Menominee Nation as a double major. I am pursuing my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Bachelor Degree in Public Administration. I live in Shawano, WI with my boyfriend Brandon and I am an alumni of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. I graduated from NWTC in Spring 2018 and I knew I would bring my education back to my hometown on the Menominee Indian Reservation. About five years ago, I became the Receptionist at Keshena Primary School. In February 2021, I applied for a different position. I am now the Administrative Assistant at Tribal Offices in the Child Support Department. Eventually, I want to become the Chairman of my tribe. Being resilient and determined to get there is what continues to keep me reaching for that goal. Waewaenen! (Thank You, Menominee).
