Deepa is a postdoctoral associate in the Tiny Earth Chemistry Hub. Her research focuses on uncovering the underlying molecules responsible for the antibiotic activity of Tiny earth strains. She spent 3 months in UC-San Diego to incorporate new chemical discovery approaches developed there to TECH. Prior to joining Tiny Earth, she earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science at UW-Madison, studying how bacterial communication leads to new molecule production. She is also interested in biotech startups, and has worked as a business consultant for local companies through the WiSolve Org.
