Tiny Earth Wisconsin Network
The Tiny Earth Wisconsin Network is a nexus of collaboration, bringing together Wisconsin college students, educators, communities, and industries to accelerate antibiotic discovery. By training instructors from colleges and universities across Wisconsin, the Network provides a pathway for Wisconsin students to experience the thrill of scientific research and the opportunity to thrive in STEM.
Tiny Earth students get the chance to showcase their research to their communities and local industries through symposiums held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay or at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery in Madison. In 2024, more than 750 students, their instructors, their families and friends, and their communities attended Tiny Earth symposiums in Wisconsin.
The Network’s ultimate mission is to bolster Tiny Earth’s vision: inspire college students to persist in science, tackle the critical issue of dwindling antibiotics, and safeguard our precious soils in Wisconsin and beyond.
Primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Education (grant number P116Z120024), the Tiny Earth Wisconsin Network strives to sustain momentum by continuing to connect and collaborate with Wisconsin’s educational institutions and stay at the forefront of scientific innovation and education.
