Kayley Janssen, PhDScientist, the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene
Dr. Kayley Janssen completed her B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Wyoming. She went on to train in genomic technologies with the National Institutes of Health at Rocky Mountain Laboratories. Dr. Janssen completed her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Iowa where she studied post transcriptional regulation in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Upon finishing her graduate work she developed genome-scale assays to investigate the coupling of transcription and translation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She currently is a Scientist at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene where she researches and develops molecular testing for environmental waters and pathogens.
