Handelsman Lab Postdoctoral Associate
University of Wisconsin–Madison

Marc Chevrette, PhD is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Handelsman Lab at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. His research interests include the genomics and genetics of secondary metabolism, microbial chemical diversity, interspecies interactions, evolution, and computational biology, particularly towards the discovery of new antimicrobials and other therapeutics.

Marc has done extensive research and training at the intersection of genomics, genetics, and microbial chemistry. His doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Currie Lab focused on how genomics and metabolomics can be used to mine microbiome interactions for antibiotic secondary metabolites. Prior to UW, Marc was the Head of Experimental Genomics at Warp Drive Bio (now Ginkgo Bioworks) and an Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard.
