As the Tiny Earth Chemistry Hub manager, I oversee the TECH isolate collection, support our researchers, and liaise between TECH and the Tiny Earth network. TECH takes a genomes-first approach to antimicrobial discovery, and I assist with this by extracting DNA for whole genome sequencing. I am also currently pursuing a master’s degree in Life Sciences Communication from the UW-Madison to further advance Tiny Earth’s communication and public science strategies.
